The Deputy Registrar/Administrative Secretary, Computer Centre and Services of the Federal College of Education, Abeokuta, Mr Rasheed Afolabi Dada has been appointed as the Registrar of Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka, Lagos.
The appointment is for a period of five years in the first instance and renewable after a satisfactory performance.
Mr R.A Dada joined the services of the College in 1993 as an Administrative Officer I and he rose through the ranks to the position of a Deputy Registrar in 2006. The Yewa born administrator served as Deputy Registrar, Admissions and Certificate Verification between 2007 and 2011, Deputy Registrar/ Admin Secretary, Centre for Degree Programmes (CEDEP) between 2011 and 2014. While on sabbatical appointment at FCE Okene, he was the Deputy Registrar, Sabbatical/ Pensions Unit and until his appointment as the Registrar, he was the Deputy Registrar/ Administrative Secretary, Computer Centre and Services F.C.E Abeokuta.
Born on June 30, 1963 at Ilaro in Ogun State, Mr Dada attended Nawair- Ud-Deen and Abeokuta Grammar Schools between 1973 and 1981 respectively. He proceeded to the University of Lagos, Lagos where he bagged a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History (1984), and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the same institution. He further obtained a Masters’ degree in Educational Management from the University of Ilorin in 1996.
The new Registrar is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) and an Associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
