It was celebration galore on Thursday 30th March, 2017 at the NASU hall, FCE Abeokuta, as members of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions celebrated their day with the theme: “Labour and Management Relationship”.
Speaking on the theme, the Keynote presenter, Comrade Emmanuel Sunday Adeegbe (JP) stressed the need for labour and management relationship adding that the relationship between labour and management would not harm the organization but add value to the growth and development of the organization.
The Provost, Dr A. A Ajayi, represented by, Dr (Mrs) B. A Adeniji, felicitated with Chairman and members of the Union for the wonderful and colourful event. She urged members to live within their incomes and abide by all College regulations.
Also speaking at the occasion, the Chairman of the occasion, Alhaji N. O Sodipe, while declaring the ceremony opened urged Union leaders to relate harmoniously with the College Management.
Earlier In his welcome address, the Union Chairman, Comrade Waheed Adewuyi expressed joy for the success of the 2017 NASU day with numerous achievements to point at within the first two years of his tenure. He further stated that the awardees who were carefully selected deserved the awards for their outstanding contributions to the Union.
Highlights of the events were the conferment of awards, donations towards face-lifting of NASU Secretariat as well as issuance of certificate of recognition to the retiring NASU members.
