As part of activities promoting cultural heritage in Nigeria, FCE Staff School on Wednesday, 26th February 2020 celebrated its cultural day in a grand style. Dons from the three major ethnic groups who separately spoke on the cultural values of the languages, maintained that, Cultures could not be separated from Languages. They added that, Language had its specific season and are used based on each season maintaining that Language was used to correct its users. They therefore charged parents to teach their wards in their various dialects.
Highlight of the programme included various cultural songs, “Ewi” rendition, cultural modelling, quiz competition among others.
Present at the programme were Chairman Staff School Management Board, Dr C.A Akintade; the Yoruba don and Director Centre for Advancement, Linkages and Alumni Relations, Dr S. A. Fajenyo; the Igbo don and a Chief Lecturer in Igbo department, Mrs J.I Mbamalu; the Hausa don and an Assistant Deputy Bursar, Mr Yakubu Usman; Staff School PTA Vice Chairman, Mrs Omolara Kuyoro; Headmistress Staff School, Mrs E. O. Opara among others.
