ALAKE COMMISSIONS NEWLY CONSTRUCTED BUILDINGS TO MARK 78TH BIRTHDAY

The Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba (Dr) Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo recently commissioned two newly constructed buildings at the Federal College of Education, Abeokuta.

The new Science Complex which was named after the Paramount Ruler was to mark his 78th birthday celebration. He commissioned the Christian Religious Studies Complex alongside while Chief Captain Raji commissioned an 820 metres stretch roads network and the representative of the Honourable Minister for Education on Council, Alhaji Aliyu Ibrahim commissioned theStudents’ Affairs Building.

While commissioning the Science complex, Oba Gbadebo remarked that Science needed to be given more recognition and preference in Teacher training as Science was life.

Earlier, both the Student Union President and FCE National Alumni President welcomed and thanked Alake for all he had done and also for fulfilling his promise that an alumnus emerged as the substantive Provost. They equally thanked the Council Chairman, representative of the Honourable Minister for Education on Council and the Egbas for supporting Dr Rafiu Adekola Soyele in becoming the College Provost.
