The Provost, Dr Ayodele A. Ajayi, has expressed his optimum satisfaction with the conducts and activities of Secretarial Staff in the College.

He made this assertion during a courtesy call made by the National Executive members of the Association of Professional Secretarial Staff of Nigeria (APSSON) to the College on Monday 9th, October, 2017.

According to him, the decision of the Management to host the National Conference of the Association was informed by the cream of capable and intelligence Secretarial Officers in the College as well as the notable contributions of the Association to the development of Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria. He promised to ensure that the executive members have a good stay in the College.

While lamenting the dumping of Secretarial Cadres for other Cadres by some members of the Association in the College, the Provost urged the National President to address the situation and ensure that APPSON members were properly motivated.

Earlier in his own address, the National President of APSSON, Mr Ganiyu I. Buhari revealed that the objective of the conference was to ensure that they attain standard practices in the Secretarial Profession in Nigeria thus the reason for year 2017 Conference. He sought for Provost’s consent and blessing towards the success of the National Conference in the College.

Mr Buhari, who appreciated the Management for having special interest in their members and accepting to host the entire Nation, lauded the College Management for the level of development in the College as well as the Management-Employee working relationship in the College.

He also urged the College Management to see staff training as an investment and not as an expenditure by giving their members regular training.

At the courtesy visit were, the Deputy Provost, Dr. Rafiu A. Soyele, Registar, Mr Rafiu A. Akinola, the Librarian, Dr. Godwin O. Oyewole, Deputy Bursar, Mr Taiwo Itiola, APSSON National Executive Members, FCE Abk APSSON Chapter Chairman, Mrs. R.O Adeniyi and Members of the 2017 National Conference Local Organizing Committee among others.


Mr Owamoyo Rafiu of the Directorate of Works and Physical Planning having been registered by the Council of Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) has been authorised to practice as a Mechanical Engineer.

In view of this, Mr Owamoyo Rafiu would henceforth be Known and addressed as Engineer Owamoyo Rafiu.

The College Updates Congratulates and felicitates with him.


Former Robert Kayode Babajide of the School of Vocational Education having notified the College would henceforth be known and addressed as Babajide Kayode Robert.

Mrs Olusanya, Justina Olabowale wishes to notify the College Community of her change of name from Mrs Olusanya, Justina Olabowale to Mrs Adams Justina Olabowale, this is as a result of marriage.

Having successfully completed their Higher Degrees Programme in March, November, June and April, MR SALAUDEEN, TAOFIQ OLADIMEJI, from Islamic Studies Department, MRS. PATIENCE UKACHI WIKINA, from Department of General Studies English (GSE), MR ADEDAYO ADEBAYO from Registry Department and MR JEGEDE OLUSEGUN from English Department, have been conferred with Doctor of Philosophy in Islamic Studies, Language Education, Sociology, and English Literature from the University of Ibadan (UI), Ibadan Nigeria and Babcock University Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State respectively.

Therefore, due to these recent achievements they shall be known and addressed as DR SALAHUDEEN, TAOFIQ OLADIMEJI, DR. (MRS) PATIENCE UKACHI WIKINA, DR ADEDAYO ADEBAYO and DR OLUSEGUN JEGEDE in all correspondences.

The College Management, having considered the report of the Examination Malpractice Committee on the involvement of ten (10) students suspected to have engaged in examination malpractice in the 2015/2016 NCE Full Time examination and 2016/2017 U.I degree examination, has rusticated 9 (Nine) and suspended 1 (One).

This was contained in a Registry release signed by the Registrar on September 7th, 2017.

The students, comprising both NCE Full Time and UI degree students were rusticated for one or two semester accordingly while all examinations written by them during the semester would be cancelled. Upon serving their respective terms of rustication as well as fulfilling all necessary conditions for re-admission, they would then be readmitted.

According to the release the students are:
Soyemi, Oladipupo 16/0313 MUS/SOS (SASS); Akingbulugbe, Temitayo Damilare 16/0292 MUS/SOS (SASS); Idowu, Toheed Adedayo, 16/1376 ISC/CSC; Abidoye, Oluwadamilola P. 16/10039 PHY; Oluwole, Abigeal F. 16/0023 BIO; Oiboweme Glory E. 14/0199; Raheem, Isiaq O. 14/0308 ECO/MATHS, Okpogode, Abraham 13/1664 BIO/CHEM; Oyeyemi Nodrat A. 12/0122 ECO/POL.

Meanwhile, the Academic Board also considered the probation of 268 and the expulsion of two NCE students for poor academic performance at the end of the First Semester examination of the 2016/2017 academic session.

According to the release, the expelled students are; Adeniran, Oluwatosin Opeyemi 15/0956 BIO/CHE and Abioye, Micheal O. 15/1287 while the 268 students placed on probation from various schools in the College were advised to be conscious of being expelled from the College if their poor academic performance persist till the end of Second Semester 2016/2017 academic session.
