The School of Science in a grand style sent off the duo of Dr Bolatito Adijat Adeniji, former Deputy Provost and Mrs Ngozi Blessing Ogunbowale, a Chief Lecturer in the Department of Biology on Wednesday 23rd September 2020 after retirement at the stipulated age of Sixty-five years (65). In addition, a Book was launched in their honour.
The event which was a 3 - in - 1 had exchange of leadership baton between the outgoing Dean, Dr K.R Ojo and the Dean Elect, Dr Dan Ologe.
The Provost, ably represented by the Deputy Provost, Dr R.A Soyele in his address remarked that the School of Science was noted for uniqueness in its dealings and had been a model to other Schools. He noted that the retirees’ wealth of experiences were still needed by the School believing that they would yield to the clarion call of the School whenever it came. Dr Soyele thereafter congratulated the outgoing Dean, Dr K.R Ojo noting that he had had a good working relationship with him. In the same vein, he urged the Dean Elect, Dr Dan Ologe to be diligent in the discharge of her duties and thorough with all academic matters like her predecessor.
The outgoing Dean in his address congratulated the retirees saying that they deserved being honoured noting that the achievements recorded during his tenure was because of the support, dedication and love from all members of staff he worked with and also the conducive atmosphere in the College.
Other activities at the occasion were the book launch and presentation of gifts to retirees and some staffers of the School as well as the handing over of Deanship to the Dean Elect.
