PROVOST COUNSELS BATCH ‘C’ CORPS MEMBERS

The Provost of the College, Dr A.A Ajayi has on Thursday 14th October, 2015 counselled the ten 2014/15 Batch ‘C’ corps members who served in the various departments of the College to be steadfast, focused and determined in the pursuit of their vision in life.

CEFALAR AWARDS EXCELLENCE

History was being made in the College on Wednesday 30th September, 2015 as the Centre for Advancement, Linkages and Alumni Relations (CEFALAR) recognised and awarded individuals and corporate bodies for the promotion of best practices in Teacher Education.


The Award ceremony held at the COEASU Hall had two categories of award namely Distinguished Service Awards in recognition of Outstanding Leadership and Excellence in Management of Educational Institution Awards.

MATRICULATION - CESAPREP MATRICULATES 40 SANDWICH STUDENTS

The Centre for San1dwich and Pre-NCE programme on Wednesday 30th September, 2015 matriculated forty (40) students into its Sandwich Programme.

The Provost, Dr Ayodele A. Ajayi who was represented by the Deputy Provost Dr (Mrs) B.A. Adeniji urged the students to maintain peace in the College, noting that the College has zero tolerance for cultism.

SSCUCOEN WELFARE SCHEME TRANSFORMS TO COOPERATIVE SOCIETY

Members of the Senior Staff Union of Colleges of Education, Nigeria (SSUCOEN) FCE, Abeokuta branch, at its 2014 Welfare Scheme Annual General Meeting held on Thursday 14th October, 2015 have unanimously agreed to transform the Union’s Welfare Scheme into a Cooperative Society.


Expatiating on the reason for transition, the Chairman of the Union, Comrade Doyin Iyasere explained that the Welfare Scheme had satisfactorily achieved the objectives laid down by founding fathers of the scheme and due to increase in membership, it was therefore ripe for such transformation to occur.

SCHOOL OF EDUCATION COMMISIONS NEW COUNSELING UNIT

The School of Education on Thursday 8th of October, 2015 opened a new Counselling Unit in the Aduke Maina Office Complex.

Commissioning the new office, the Acting Director, Medical Services of the College, Dr Tijani Avovome stated that the psychological and physiological aspect of human beings cannot be left unattended to in the face of the present economic situation in the Country. He therefore called on staff and students of the college to avail themselves the advantages of the new Counselling Unit.
